International Phytoessence Consortium

The International Society for phytoessence Science was initiated in 2013, and nowadays its membership comprise of scientists and industry experts from more than twenty one countries. In 2014, our membership requested an official publication for the society in form of an Open-access, peer review with potential for indexing at various agencies. Accordingly, society has established the International Journal of phytoessence and Natural Ingredients (IJPNI) that published abstracts and manuscripts from our events in addition to a number of manuscript submitted from elsewhere.

Welcome to IPPC-Ireland 2018

Dear Friends and Colleagues,

The Seventh International Phytocosmetics and Phytotherapy Congress (IPPC-Ireland) scheduled during June 18-20, 2018 at the campus of the Dublin City University located at Dublin, Ireland. The scope of Phytocosmetic and Phytotherapy sciences includes product development and academic research to identify sustainable use of natural ingredients such as essential oils and other plant extracts in skin, hair, perfumery and personal care products. The Congress aims to underscore essential associations in scientific knowledge utilized in the production of phytocosmetics and its application in practicing phytotherapy. The advancement of the associated scientific knowledge requires strengthened alliances through a multidisciplinary collaboration among scientists, professionals, and other main stakeholders.

This event also sustains a fundamental belief that ethical and cultural standards in practice will create a more sustainable approach to research, productions, utilization, and marketing of plant-based products. The vast diversity of plant species in various geographic areas such as rain forests of Americas, arid lands of Africa and other locations have provided excellent resources for the raw material of millions of natural products in health care, personal care, and cosmetics. Phytochemists, horticulturists, production engineers, and formulation experts, dermatologists, members of marketing sector and regulators each of them has the responsibility of conducting best sustainable practices in their work to assure efficacy, safety, and quality of the plant-based products. For the last decade, a growing market has maintained an increase in production of natural products, some based on historical knowledge of ancient societies including India, Greece, Canada, and Brazil. Accordingly, IPPC organizers and supporters would like to acknowledge the value of both historical knowledge, and innovative scientific efforts. The host of this event, Dublin City University is a place where scientist have newly started exciting new investigative efforts and they will present at the event. The city has thousand years of history, and many places to visit and enjoy.

On behalf of all involved parties, I welcome you to the Congress and look forward to building an effective global collaboration to foster scientific growth and to advocate taking the most sustainable, ethical and culturally aware steps forward.

See you at the IPPC-Ireland
